C E L L U L A R   R E S P I R A T I O N 

Cellular Respiration uses non-traditional materials in an Eco-friendly way to create a design that displays visual texture. This design features recycled bike tubing from Erik's Bike and Board Shop that is cut up into quarter inch circles and layered to create visual dimension. The name Cellular Respiration derives from the LED lighting found in the exaggerated peter pan collar. Although a subtle feature, the lights literally appear to breathe as they fade in and out. The collar is sectioned into three layers that build up height with multiple layers of tires. By creating a simple dress silhouette, the tires become the dominating feature of this design. This design has been featured in SOL Inspirations ECO fashion show, June 2012 Metro Magazine, and several design exhibitions throughout the United States.
