This visual display was created by researching Target's current floor sets by completing store visits as well as by shopping competitors. Using concepts learned during the visual merchandising class, trend forecasting, and brand management a new store display was designed using MockShop software. By using cross merchandising, outfitting by trend, effective signage, and new clothing fixtures, Target can increase the amount of sales while providing an engaging atmosphere that appeals to older and younger generations. Our final plan includes using fixtures such as quad racks, feature tables, shelving units, and face outs. All of the face outs include merchandise that we found to be key items such as camouflage and sports themed graphic tees. In the center of the floor set feature tables are used to create a shop feel while maintaining a low height so the back wall signage is easily visible. In addition, shelving units are used throughout the display to feature items that can be cross-sold to guests.
