S E E I N G   S H A D E S   O F   B L U E

This project was implemented as a chance to discover and solve a whitespace opportunity found in an already successful retailer/designer. The whitespace I identified within Gap was that they could target younger pre-teens and moms. Seeing Shades of Blue is designed for girls between 9-14 years of age who are looking for something sophisticated but fun and easy to wear during Spring 2015. The silhouettes of each piece were purposely oversized with added elastic and tie closures so each garment could be worn by girls of various sizes and to transition as they continue to grow. Materials include 100% cotton and polyester knits with chiffon overlays in a watercolor print.
