TACTILE BELT WIRING

In our functional design course, our class was challenged to create a design for NASA crew members during intravechuliar activity. Our group researched methods of communication using tactile display. We combined our research to test and develop a functional garment that aided crew members with a communication system similar to morse code. The belt houses six tactors while the shorts house the switch. Our final prototype was presented at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
